My passion
for audio stretches back more than 20 years and it is still growing
by the day. It all started with a Garrard automatic record changer
(which you don't see much these days), a homemade mono-amp, a
homemade speaker, and a 'pocket radio' modified to be the tuner.
I am today still very much into LPs, tubes and such and I probably
can't settle for anything lesser when I am into serious listening.
My collection of LPs is currently more than 1000 pieces. During
my long 'audio trip', I was also caught in the digital craze,
and during those few years I have collected about 600 CDs, and
for that reason, I have decided to keep a second system, a 'digital'
setup in my bedroom. (Featured in my
soundroom 2.)
The picture shown above was taken about some years ago (1998),
when i was still having my digital components such as, Meta Research
CD transport and Goldmund Mimesis 12 DAC. Today, I have a totally
'all analog' system. the Oracle Delphi IV turntable shown in the
picture has been replaced with the J.C.verdier's La Platine......a
great piece of art! The Airtangent 2B lateral tracking tonearm
(shown in picture), is still very much in service, and I doubt
I will ever part with this great Swedish handmade tonearm. |
